The biggest lesson for me is "fewer surfaces, more value." AI makes it easier to build more products, workflows, and systems, but that doesn't mean we should.

The real advantage always comes from making one existing surface dramatically better than focusing on multiple ones.

Wow! You created a monster! Careful what you wish (and work) for.

Streamlining is always the best path forward.

There is a lot of talk about solopreneurs and one-person companies reaching $X dollars. I believe it will be 2- to 5-person teams with complementary skill sets, like you and your business partner, that are amplified and connected by the power of AI that will be the biggest winners.

It also enables people to bounce ideas off each other and collaborate so that 1 + 1 + AI = pi-r-squared.

Or something like that.

The $99 offer did its job — it bought you a hundred conversations' worth of market data. It also proved the constraint: 400 hours delivered is revenue priced in your calendar. Whatever survives the cut should be the things that earn while you're not in the room.

I know this feeling. You say yes to a few good ideas, they all work well enough to keep, then six months later you’re wondering why your week feels impossible.

We frequently are unprepared for unprecedented success.

Love how you're taking your lessons learned and pivoting, John
